League Levels
TEEBALL:
• Boys and Girls, ages 5-7.
This division is an instructional league where everyone will have equal playing time. Scores and Outs are not tracked. Emphasis is on game basics, encouragement of positive self-esteem, good sportsmanship, and fun. Teeball is designed to introduce the game to first-time players while they learn basic fundamentals such as throwing, catching, hitting, fielding position and basic rules.
• All games will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the OLD Rockport Elementary School Field (corner of Rts. 1 & 90)
• Each player receives hat and team shirt for games
• Each player needs to have their own baseball glove.
• OPENING DAY CEREMONIES: Saturday, May 6 at Marge Jones Recreation Center Field
• FIRST GAME: Tuesday, May 9 FINAL GAME/ICE CREAM SOCIAL: Thursday, Saturday, June 22
MINOR SOFTBALL (coach pitch)
• No Tryouts. For Girls ages 7-10.
This division is also an instructional league designed for girls just starting and looking for a gradual transition into competitive Softball. Girls will have equal playing time. Coaches pitch to players and work on development of fundamentals and game techniques. Players will build their playing skills such as correct pitching mechanics, proper field positioning, and learn official Softball rules.
• Each player receives hat and team shirt for games.
• All practices and games take place at the Camden-Rockport Middle School fields.
• Games and practices schedules to be announced.
• MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS
• Away games will be scheduled with Medomak Valley LL teams (Waldoboro, Warren, Union and Friendship).
• OPENING DAY CEREMONIES: Saturday, May 6, at Marge Jones Recreation Center Field
• FIRST GAME: Monday, May 8 END OF SEASON: TBA
LOWER MINOR BASEBALL: (Coach Pitch)
• No tryouts. For players ages 7-9.
This developmental league is designed as an introduction to baseball for young players transitioning from tee-ball (or no baseball exposure). Emphasis on baseball fundamentals, sportsmanship, and fun. Players will play all positions and have an at-bat every inning.
• All Games are held at True Park, in Hope – Mondays and Wednesdays, at 6:00 p.m., and Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
• Pre-Season Clinics will take place over the last three weeks in April at Lincolnville Central School gym (and outside, weather-permitting)
• Team Assignments will be made at the final two clinics
• Each player receives hat and team shirt.
• OPENING DAY CEREMONIES: Saturday, May 6, at Marge Jones Recreation Center Field
• FIRST GAME: Monday, May 8 END OF SEASON FAMILY FIELD DAY: Saturday, June 17
UPPER MINOR BASEBALL: (Kids Pitch)
No tryout necessary. For players aged 8-11. This developmental league is a perfect for players ready for competitive play but who could benefit from focused instruction. Players will learn the fundamentals of each position and be given opportunities to play at every position.
• All Home games take place at True Park, in Hope. Saturday away games take place at Medomak Valley LL fields (Warren, Washington, and Waldoboro).
• Tuesday and Thursdays, at 6:00 p.m., and Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Tues. and Thurs. games are 4 innings. Saturday games are 6 innings.
• Pre-Season Minors Clinics will take place over the last three weeks in April at Lincolnville Central School gym (and outside, weather-permitting) (Dates tba)
• Team Assignments will be made at the final two clinics
• Each player receives hat and team shirt.

MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL (Kids Pitch)
• For players ages 9 - 12 (must be 9 years-old by 8/31/2017)
This is the highest level of Little League. While still developmental, the game is played in a very competitive way, with some control of playing time. League standings will be kept and every team will have the opportunity to participate in a double-elimination playoff tournament. Emphasis on Sportsmanship, respecting the game of baseball, building on skills, start the development of strong mental approach to the game with more complicated signs, set plays, base coverage, fielding. Players need to TRY-OUT for this level, once drafted to a team that player remains on that team until their Little League age expires. Players at this level are also eligible for All-Star teams that play after the regular season in the summer.
• PRE-SEASON CLINICS: SUNDAYS March 12, 19 & 26. At Lincolnville Central School gym. 9 & 10 year olds from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m. 11 & 12 year-olds from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. A one-time $10 fee covers the cost of all three clinics.
• TRYOUTS: Saturday, April 1, at Camden-Rockport Middle School gym. 9-12 year olds: Check in at 8:30 a.m.; Please wear sneakers and bring baseball glove to tryouts.
